Dear Mr. Davis:

	We are pleased to submit our price and delivery quotation for two
of our model M.I.T. manipulators.  These manipulators, as described by the
enclosed specifications sheet feature six degrees of freedom, plus a hand.
All joints have potentiometer type position resolution elements.  Analog 
tachometers are included on joints 1 thru 5.  Also included is a power supply
and a manual controller for each arm.  This power supply- controller combination
allows the arm to be operated either in manual mode or connected to a computer
for use as a computer controlled manipulator.  Computer interface electronics is not
included, although a computer connection cable and information on interfacing the arms will be supplied.

	As for physical characteristics, each arm weighs about 15 lbs. and is
manufactured primarily of aluminum and stainless steel.  They are black anodized to
give them a hard coat protective finish.  The individual joints are powered by
separate D.C. torque motors.  Brakes are included on joints 1 through 5 to
enable holding a desired position without continuous computer service.

	The price for two manipulators with two power supplies and two manual
control units is $14,000 delivered to Urbana.  Delivery is 120 days ARO.\.
